Default Stroker guys I need your help

Ok I have switched gears on what I wanted to do with my engine. I canceled my order for my shortblock. I found a machine shop here to bore my block .020 over. I have decided to Stroke this engine but I havent found a kit I like and that can handle enough power. So I am putting mine together on my own. I am ordering a stroker crank with 3.750 stroke. Should I stay with stock length rods? What size rods and cranks do you guys have? Thanks.

Wouldnt longer rods cancel the stroke you just added with the crank? Also wouldn't it be to long and it the head? I could be wrong so please explain why longer.

you have to have shorter rods. since the crank is bioiger if you use long rods youd stick the piston through the head

I don't know which rods/pistons you'll need, but you will need a longer rod with a different piston that has the wrist pin closer to the oil rings and shorter skirts. The easiest thing would be to look at the details of a full kit and see what size rods they are using and which pistons to get.

Why dont you just ash the shop thats doing the machine work. If its a speed shop, they'd probably know what you need and could probably order it for you too.

you should order the stroker rotating assembly as a kit and have it balanced. www.vtengines.com or livernois motorsports are good places to purchase from.

I'm not getting the kit for 2 reasons. 1. I don't have the money for the kit, it is easier to to buy the parts as I can and as I need it. 2. I can put togather a much stronger set up then the kits. I need to get the crank now so I can take the block and get it machined. I'm just wondering about the rods length.
