Ok here it goes i need help with the auto meter tach adapter. i have tied to hook it up 3 diffrent way now and none of them seem to work. I have the tach hooked up red power, black ground white lights and green to the grey wire on the tach adapter. I have the tach adapter hoocked up like this. red goes to pin 97 red with green stripe is hooked in pin 21. and black is ground. when i do just like this the car will cranck but will not start. when i unhooked it it will run. dose any one know what to do or what i did wrong.
