nice job on the valve cover what did you use for the strips paint or somethignelse
Thanks man. I cleaned and sanded the valve covers then primed them with high temp primer. Then I sprayed high temp white and let it dry over night. The next day I used fine line masking tape (you can get it from an automotive paint supply store) and taped off the stripes. Next I sprayed High temp ford blue paint waited 20 min and pulled the tape off. I waited 3 hours and used high temp clear coat to finish it off. I got all the painting done in about 2 days. The polishing of the aluminum parts took much longer.

This was an easy and cheap way to dress up the engine. Cost around $50. I already knew how to paint cause I have painted a few cars but I think anybody should be able to do it.

looks good!...did you just use regular automotive paint for that?..or a special high-temp paint?...i think it would look really good if you did all your suspension components the same color...whatcha think?

I used high temp engine enamel. All of my suspension componets are powdercoated black and you cant see them because the car is so low. Coilovers rock!

I like the ford blue with oxford white. Gotta keep it FORD. Plus my car is oxford white so true blue just wouldn't go.
