colder plugs?

how much will running one heat range colder plugs affect your n/a performance?

You will most likely lose power with colder plugs. Why would you want to try colder plugs? Usually they are for guys running blowers which creates higher cylinder temps. Mark

jk...they are used mostly for nitrous or other types of forced induction.

well i'll be running nitrous soon, thats why the colder plugs. i just want to know if it is worth it to be switching out the plugs when off the nitrous.

You can't really notice. But a little fyi, whenever your car is off the bottle now, it'll feel slow. It's the only bad part about nitrous.

You onyl need to run colder plugs if youre creating really high cyl. temps. I had to drop 13 heat ranges on my 302 ranger, they call for an autolite 45, I had to drop all the way to a 33 non resistor racing plug. I kept melting the 45's down, both electrodes. I had the heads milled so its around 11:1, ever since then only those racing plugs hold up.

i won't run the nitrous all that much, mostly just at the track. maybe? thanx sonic, and that fuel rail adapter should be here this week[sm=smiley20.gif]

i already bought them, i'll gap them at about .033.


i'll just see if there is a difference with them, it'll be good if there is no noticable difference so i can just leave 'em in for everyday driving.

Get some ngk tr6 plugs and youll be fine.
