transmission i.d
i have a 2001 mustang so i need to know which tranny i have. i have been told that it is on my transmission but where on the tranny should i be looking for and what am i looking for is it jst gonna say t5 or t45. thanks

Ive just learned that ther r 2 ways to id the tranny.I also have an 01,if its a Tremmec look on the passenger side of the tranny housing,if its a tremmec it will say tremmec.also in the driver door jamb.look at the sticker and look for the letters "TR" if there is a "k" there then its the t45.

correction
The Mustang GT in 2001 had both the T5/T-45 and 3650 Transmissions. Check your driver's door for a sticker and look under "TR" for a "K". If you have a "K" then you have the 3650 Transmission. If not order the T5/T-45.
