Default MAC Pro Chamber

Sorry if this is a repost, I tried a search and couldn't find exactly what I was looking for. I posted this in an old thread before and still no answer, so one more try.

How are the power gains with a Pro Chamber? I have a 2.5" mac catback and I want it to sound even better so I've heard good things about a prochamber. Besides a better sound, will it help out my performance a little bit?? Also I have stock headers, what size pipe would I need. Any other general information, pros/cons I should know about a pro chamber, and anywhere I could get a good deal on one?? (I'm thinking about getting cats, no o/r for me. Inspection reasons and all that...)

As far as performance gains... I don't think theres gonna be enough to really make a difference. There might be a little bit going from stock mid to mac PC. The biggest difference will be sound of course. I myself have been debating back and worth on getting a catted PC or the O/R version. Either way, its a good choice. They do make a stainless steel now so that is something to consider too. Good luck.

4 rwhp? go get a before and after dyno to actually find out.

ppl always ask about performance gains from one tiny bolt on. its all of them together that do something.


you're result will be more sound than peformance. like that guy said ^

i have a catted PC with flowmaster 40's and my friend still has a stock H-pipe with flows and his is a tad louder at idle now, but when u give it gas and especially on the highway its louder and sounds very nice...let me know if u get it cuz i want to know how it sound with a mac catback cuz i might get that soon

i gained a bit - somewhere around 10, but thats with my whole setup -
stock headers, mac o/r p/c - steeda(borla) catback, ported heads, diamond pistons, mahle rods (10.5:1c/r) tuner, k&n

Okay thanks, If I get it i'll tell you about it fireredstang.

I really wish I could get a dyno tune for a decent price. Get this: I think the only place where I live is a really professional place (or so people say, Murillo??) and they charge 500 bucks for the first tune for a N/A motor. Then 250 for every retune. Is that ridiculous? I dont really have that kinda money just to see what kinda rwhp/rwtq I'm making... although I wish.
