Default Steed lowering spring question

Im considering getting the steeda sport spring package 1 1/4" drop. How bad will this hurt my 1/4 mile times. will they increase my performance at all handleing wise? and how tuff is the install? a doit-your-self type?

Thanks

Do they look good?

you have to get a spring compression tool, so you dont break your arm or kill yourself, you can rent one at places like autozone or discount autoparts.
i think that they look good, and i honestly dont know what it does to your times at the track. good luck

I'm not 100% sure on this one, but from what I understand with the steeda springs you will be able to corner like you are on rails but they are not very good for launching at all. This is just what I have heard so don't quote me on this one. I was considering the springs myself, but now I'm looking into other options.

If you have some good tires and you heat them up pretty well before launching then you will have no worries. All drop springs are no good for traction but tires will fix that problem. I have H&R progressive springs and some dayton tires right now and I heat them up and it grips like no other.

What it hurts is weight transfer-slower 60 foot- but not terribly, they do look great.

Like I said... heat the tires up and you will have no problem. My 60 ft time is averaged out to be about 2.1 to 2.2
