I was just about to start installing my H-pipe. I backed my car into the garage and it was running fine got the ramps in place and was just getting ready to back it up onto the ramps. Now it wont start. It sounds like the starter came loose or something. It wont turn over. I try to start it and it just makes a click noise. It doesnt click reapatedly it just click once when you try to start it. I have no idea where my starter is or if that is the problem can somebody help me? I have a 96 GT manaul transmission.

 

did you check the battery?

 

Yea we tried jumping it but me and my friend are not sure if we jumped it right. Its kinda weird how it just died all of a sudden. Like I said no more than 30 seconds after I turned it off I got back in the car and tried to start it up and it wouldn't start. Any other idea as to what it could be?

 

i HAD an 89 IROC that did the same exact thing, it gave no notice, the battery just died. i tried jumping it and it didnt work. so i just went to wal-mart and bought a cheap battery to see if it would work, and it fired right up. hope you can figure it out.

 

Yea you were right thats what I did. It just died out of the middle of no where and I went to Wal-Mart and bought one for $40 and now my car works fine.
