What size are the shifter handle threads

I want a new shift **** for my 98GT, what size are the threads on the shifter that the ***** screws onto. Im going out tommorow to buy a B&M t handle, I drove a car the other day that had the t handle and I really liked the feel. So yea, thread size?

There aren't any threads, its made of this material that just holds haha its hard to explain. The b and m shifter handle will fit fine regardless.

Yea the one on my firebird stripped. Im talking about the actual shifterhandle its self, the bolts on to the tranny. But do the ***** come with out threads and then you short of tap them yourself or what.
