Hello all, this is my first post and i thought i would start it with a question.
I have a set of 4.10s just the ring and pinion.
My question is if i take this to a shop to have it installed do i need and install kit or am i already set?

My buddy and I installed mine on his driveway. I got the master install kit for about 90 bucks at the local shop. I would think that you will need the install kit though. It would seem logical, but just my $.02.

get a motive bering kit, do not install them yourself unless you have done it before, do you know how to set backlash etc?

No im not doing it myself, dont have the time or knowhow. Luckily i have the money. Would autozone have on in stock?
Whats the average time on the install?

About the install time:

It took my buddy and I about 3-4 hours to do (we took our time though and a couple breaks here and there). I'm not sure how long it would take a shop to install, but I would estimate about 3 hours just to be safe.
