Second is whats is the cleaning proceedure/ cleaning materials you guys use to do this? Thanks!

Yes it is the IAC. Just use carb cleaner spray to clean it up.

will spraying solvents/carb cleaners in there mess with the electronic sensor? I can't really figure out a way to take the actual electronic sensor thing off.

It wont mess anything up. I`ve done this many times on quite a few cars and never had a problem.

That's a solenoid, not a sensor. It moves in/out to control the amount of air being allowed through the valve (which controls your idle speed). Just let it dry and don't use anthing that will leave a residue (make sure the fluid coming off is clean) and you'll be fine.

No, that's just a connector. It's the shiny thing he's holding in the second picture.
