my buddy just bought a 2000 gt, he has a mangaflow catback, pulleys, 4:10s, and a programmer. what kind of power is that car putting out. i am a 5.0 guy, but i want to know how much power he is got, the car is pretty bad. the magnaflow soulnds very good, and i love the new edge body. i have a 95 gt and i know that he has me beat cause i am still stock but just wondering what he has. thanks for any help.

well you figure 270 to 280 is stock....the programmer gives you a little somethin, and from what ive read and heard magnaflow gives the best gains so maybe 285 and if hes lucky 290 but thats absolutely highest....the gears make a huge difference though. they make that car come alive

I saw a stock 01 mustang GT 5spd dyno before I dyno'd my SRT-4. It had a K&N drop in and made 226 WHP. I can't remember the Torque. With his mods hes lucky if hes at 240 WHP. WHP is what matters I think flywheel horsepower is gay personally.

There is no high end.

On an accurate dynojet 248c your 99-04 GT WILL put down between 225 and 230 WHP stock (5 speed), with a LITTLE plus or minus for the dynos adjustments.

A catback adds virtually nothing. On a otherwise bone stock GT you MIGHT see 2-3 WHP, regardless of brand or design.

The programmer is virutally worthless as well unless he has a true custom tune, and even in that case you would be lucky to pick up 5 WHP stock. The pulleys MIGHT give him another 5 WHP (might).

Abosultly BEST case he might make 280 to the flywheel, but I highly doubt it. That would be 243 WHP, and thats pushing it with those mods (pretty hard really)

first off i said on the high end....GRACIOUS END, but if you will read my post i said he got at the most 5hp with the catback and tuner....id put my money on 275 but 280 is a gracious gift from me to you
