differential fluid change???

Default differential fluid change???

ok im trying to change my differnetial fluid, but i cant fnd the filler cap. can anyone give me a picture of were this could be. and question number 2. im using the stock jack is this safe enough to use while changing my diff. fluid. sometimes i feel liek its going to collapse on me cuz its pretty puny looking

good luck, and oh might wanna get some supports, wether blocks or somethin under your car...you dont need to get under your car to change a flat...so i wouldnt trust the jack for holding the car for long periods of time

Yeah, definitely get some jack stands under the car. Never rely only on a jack to hold the car.

well it looks like im not going to be able to do it because im on a time limit and i gotta work today 3pm-3am. so i can try again tomorro if i can get some jack stands. How bad is it to run it my car is making a pretty bad metal on metal grinding sound and i was told to change it and it shoudl work but i dont know. so is it real bad to run it while its still making that noise.. thanks ponysnake99 and ur picture is hilarious

if you car is grinding from the rear end i wouldn't put too much hope into some new fluid solving your problem, it sounds like something a little more serious to me

I had CRAZY noise coming from my diff. The fluid ended up being full of metal pieces from the spider gears etc. The fluid change completely fixed it for the time being, but eventually the rear end will have to be rebuilt.

heh, well i just blew out my rear end 2 months ago, and when i dropped the cover chunks of gears fell out lmao.........
