Default Timing Chain Question

I just installed the 2004 PI heads in my 97 4.6. I read all the articles on installing the timing chain and have a question. After I install the chain and rotate the crank a few times I can't get the marks on the chain to line up again with the marks on the sprockets. Do I need to start over or is this normal? Thanks

first off, the crank has to be at top dead center, then u take ur mark on the chain line it up w/ the crank, second turn the cam gear to line up w/ other mark on the chain and then slap the chain on and ur set,

Its in your chain tensioners, make sure you have your chain and tensioners setup right when you set the timing and make sure your spinning the crank the right way. If theirs slack in the chain at the wrong side when you set the chain up its gonna get outta time when you spin it over.
