ok so i have a 01 mustang Gt and i have noticed a rubber burning sort of smell coming from my car and sometimes smells like it is coming from my engine compartment. i had a clutch installed last week and i thought it might be jst my clutch burning to break in. i dont know though i jst dont want to be drivin my car around if i have something broken so if u have had stuff like this happen then advice is appreciated thanks

 

When i beat the crap outa my car i smell clutch sometimes and it doesn't smell like rubber it smells like brakes burnin. Take it back and have em look at it. Be on the safe side.

 

That happened to me one time..... but it was a plastic bag that got cought up in my mid pipes and melted itself to them. (Yea they get pretty Hot) It smelled like burnt plastic/rubber for 2 weeks till it finally burned itself off.

 

(worst case senario)
you get a lot of headaches when u drive? if so u may have a carbon monoxide leak[sm=crossbonesgif.gif]

 

I have had that happen recently and it sucks. I'm just letting it melt away too.
