Default AFM Powerpipe question

I wanted to order a 4' power pipe from AFM. I have a Vortech supercharger. My question is will I have any trouble closing my stock hood With the AFM power pipe?

They have instructions on how to close the hood. YHou have to cut a portion out underneath according to their directions. I have a procharger and I was able to close the hood without cutting. I actually bent my ac lines directly underneath the pipe to make the pipe sit a little lower. I don't know about your setup, you may or may not neet to cut. But the pipe seems to be well worth it.

Was the install pretty easy or do I need to take it to a shop? By the way how much of a difference did it make?

don't waste your money at a shop. You do have to cut out a portion of the fender inside to make room for the bigger pipe. I used a dremmel tool and took my time cutting it out. They give you a template you place over the inside of the fender. Just trace it out and cut. It comes with trim to put around the edges you cut also. After you cut, touch up all the cut edges with touch up paint and let dry, then put the trim on.

As for the difference, I can feel it, but won't know how much it adds(psi wise) until I get it re-dyno tuned next week. The weather isn't looking good for all next week here though, so I might have to put it off.
