Just like the title says, is royal purple oil really worth it or should I just stick with mobil 1 synthetic?

i use mobil 1 synthetic, i know ppl that use royal purple and they arent that happy with it

It seems mobil 1 synthetic is more popular among the oils...I just use the regular motorcraft 5W-30 grade (or whatever it is)

I use Royal Purple for my gear oil when I changed to the 4.10

its all what u like. they really arent all that different. like i said its all in the preference. both oils are very good either would be good and i dont think you'll really be able to tell the difference between the two. i cant.[sm=vader.gif]

I use mobil 1 synthetic for my motor and royal purple for my transmission and rear end. But Royal purple engine oil is the same price as mobil. $6 a quart where I live. So next oil change I am buying royal purple and going to use that from now on.

Mobil 1 FTW. Cheaper then royal purple and does same job.

I used Penzoil Synth last time.. this time I will probably be using Mobil 1.
