lol, im glad i found this. my dads friend wants me to buy his 350z. 29000 miles, manual, 2001 or 2002 i think. Its in good shape from what ive seen. He wants 18000 for it.

The way i see it, i can get a good stang for 10K, then use that extra money to make it better than the 350z.

I raced my friends 350z saturday, I was ahead by a fender through 1st and 2nd and once my Auto shifted to 3rd he pulled 1/2 a car.....I dont know what to do with my auto, once it shifts into 3rd it doesnt pull as hard, maybe it shift to early or too late, i dunno what to do.

BTW I have an 2002 Gt auto with just flows and he has 2006 350z coupe touring auto, he is stock

Get a shift kit and higher stall.

You see this story shows how close they are. Both are autos so there is no driver error. Nissan automatic> Ford automatic in terms of performance and you guys are telling people that a manual New Edge can't take a 350z? Both cars are basically the same thing even the 06 350z, they make 300 hp(13 over previous) and 260 tq(14 less)

I dont torque break when i launch i just gun it at the light, I think he reved it up to 1800 and he was using tiptronic because if he puts it in d his car will shift at redline 6600 but his car pulls to 7000.

I put it in d, trac off, diddnt touch o/d....If i tourqe break i lose traction and i pull 2.3 60s, without i pull 2.2

He reved it up to 1800 and launched

Because of how crappy our auto's are you need to do some power braking when ya launch... you gotta utilize your torque advantage when ya can, cause that 350z' auto should eat you up everytime ya run it at the moment.
