Default For those who work in high performance

This is a question to all the guys who work in high performance automobiles, building engines ECT. What training do you guys have? Do you have engineering degrees, or did you go to a school like Lincoln Tech. What is the pay like, if you don’t mind me asking? My friend has been throwing around going to a technical school like Lincoln tech and doing there high performance program. He wanted to know what type of job he could get with this type of training and what type of pay he could get. Thanks for any input.

Default RE: For those who work in high performance

depends on where you go and and what you do..
if you go thru a dealer program.. then you work at dealerships (specialized) you can make anywhere from 50-70k (GM or ford) to 80k+ jaguar, bmw etc.

nasacr is a good school, liek wyotech etc... but jobs in nascar are a whole differenet deal... you have to know people to work in nascar..

having good tech training, you can strt your own shop pretty cheap.. if you know what you are doing and make (40-60k to 200k plus) it all depends on what you do really... but general run of the mill good tech who can build engines etc - should make 50-80k at your typical dealership
