Default power loss around 4500 rpm and higher

My vortech charged mustang loses power when it reachs rpms above 4500. Wondering if anyone has a suggestion as to what it could be. I know the OEM injectors and fuel rails were replaced with higher capacty units. I'm no sure if the fuel pump has been upgraded though, will the OEM pump keep up with the vortech charger. It also has long tube header and high-flo cats, will this set-up work with the mapping program form Vortech? Let me know ASAP!

it sounds like you are running out of fuel. also, give us a complete run down of what you have. Have you upgraded your MAF? The stocker is probably isnt going to support the power you are making. Did you buy the car this way? Someone replaced the fuel rails? More info please. you getting any cels?

As far as i know the MAF is OEM. The only modifications are the Vortech charger, long tube headers, high-flo cats, injectors, and fuel rails. I bought the car this way so i don't know exactly what the previous owner had installed.

No tune done?

Even the vortech box tune can suck. I would find the nearest reputable mustang/tuning shop and have them tune it. Where do you live?

Maybe it's just a clogged fuel filter. If you don't know how long ago it's been changed,, change it now. Nothing to lose.
