Does anyone have this tuner? I want to know if I can advance the timing specifically to 12, 13, or 14 degrees with this.



I have the Superchips Micro Tuner right now. It advances the timing, but doesn't allow me to specify how much I can advance it...it just asks me "Install Performance Program" and I can only answer "Yes/No". Not a very detailed tuner...

Blegh!!! Only 8 - 12 degrees??? That sounds about the same with the Superchips...




I think I"m gonna sell my superchips on ebay and put my car on the dyno with a programmeable chip. They can program it to 14 degrees then right?...and screw around with the A/F ratios as well?

they can do whatever they want to!! depending on which chip you get. they can change it to 99deg timing if they wanted to(not that it would ever happen), just for an example.

like i have posted before, all of those hand held flashers can work good if you know what you are doing. for the inexpierenced, the chip is a way to go. if i am not mistaken though, a TUNER can tune a program, then burn it to the predator, and then flash it to the computer... i will have to find out when i get off work. i will let you know asap.

That'd be great...cause I'm debating getting a timing adjuster but why not just spend the extra money and get the A/F ratios changed and have the traction control taken off

if you were to get a chip, you wouldn't have get a timing adjuster. i will let you know that a chip isn't cheap. to get the one i am talking about, you will have to spend close to if not a little more than $500. thats the chip with tune. any other mod you get, you will have to get the chip tuned again. meaning more dynotime which equals more money. just a heads up. its a good investment when you are at your limits of modding, or don't plan on modding for awhile..

$500 is alot...will I get anywhere from 10 - 20 to the rear wheels with that mod? Will it be a SOTP diff?

i have one u can go up to 16 and adjust the A/F's havn't dynoed it yet had a hypertech got the diablo because the hypertech made me run really lean before 4K and yes having the traction control off all the time is good also they are 399 not incredible cheap but do research on it it can do alot of other stuff as well

I know a guy that you can buy the Predator from, and he gives free re-burns when you make changes. He can send them to you for download off of your computer.

Everyone that I have talked with has said that his tunes were on the money, proven by Dyno's.

The hypertech adjusts it to 16 degrees?



That would be nice, but I don't think I'll get the Predator if it only adjusts to 12 degrees, unless he can change it that way (still talking of the flash tuner)...I'm pretty much finished modding my car except for pulleys, so I may just have a chip that stays plugged in...
