Default Throwing a code

My car has had a really weird problem in the last few days. When idleing, it randomly dies or almost dies and then catches itself. The check engine light came on and it gave me the code "P0340 Camshaft Position Sensor Circuit Malfunction" with Bank A at the end. So I replace that sensor and nothing happened after driving it a bit. It is still doing it.

What could be causing the really random idle problems? It seems like the IAC, but why would it throw this code for that? I am hoping this is a cheap fix because I just got nailed with a $450 insurance bill due in 2 weeks.

I am currently at the point where even though the car only has 13,000 miles on it I am pissed off enough to beat it to absolute **** until it dies.

Thanks

Yup and then it came back on. But the car is randomly dieing or almost dieing. I am getting a little pissed off.

I would try cleaning the IAC valve. I had the same problem and after cleaning the valve it was fine.

Alright I am in the process of doing it now. My dad is picking up some carb cleaner on his way home. I hate this. I absolutely love my mustang and all mustangs, but things like this just **** me off and make me hate it. I know things go wrong with every car but getting a $450 bill and then the car isn't working right just ticks me off.

You are hitting 13.9 with just exhaust and intake? I knew it was possible, but most people aren't good enough at driving.

Does anyone else think this could be an IAC problem? I am going to try it, but I have no way of getting carb cleaner now because my dad couldn't get to the store.

The code doesn't seem like the IAC problem, but I am a newb.

yea its hard to say, but I would suggest trying to clean the IAC first, because that will cost you next to nothing.

So far exhaust and intake, soon to come, next spring.......short throw shifter, tuner, GSD3 performance tires, and then some....
