Default How much sand

I have Blizzak WS-50s all around for the winter but for extra help I am going to put sandbags in the trunk. How many 50lbs bags should I put on each side of the trunk? I'm thinking like 3-4 bags on each side which is about 300-400 lbs total (which I figure is 2 passengers or so) that way it won't bog my down but still help. Too much sand? Not enough?

I live in the SNOW belt too, and don't put any sand bags in the trunk at all...

But I'd think at least ONE bag would be good to have, in case you get stuck you can pop the bag open & sprinkle some in front of the wheels for traction.

+300lbs sounds like a LOT. Make you car too tail heavy & it might wanna swap ends when you hit the brakes lol

u shouldnt need anything to help in the winter other than ur right foot, other than some decent winter or all season tires. ive never used sand bags and havent had a problem.
