Default MGW Purchase

Hey guys, I've decided to get the MGW for Christmas. What I need to know is if I need anything else besides what I order from mgwltd.com. Also, do I need to set the shift stoppers, and are they difficult? This is my first aftermarket shifter. Thanks.

EDIT: Nevermind about the install, i forgot it was a how-to. I've heard about shifter gaskets... are they worth it?

get the $8 inner shift boot for the hell of it.......its only $8 bucks! Who cares if it works or not? >8) Also, there is a big debate about using shift stops. Most say if the manufactures are saying dont then DON'T. Others say that they can be used as a safety net. Choice is yours, either: Trust the manufactos who made the crap / or / Trust people on boards like this with real world experience in using the stops. I'm still debating it and I don't even have the shifter yet!

Ya I'm getting the inner boot too, even if it doesn't do anything. I probably wont use the shift stops out of pure fear. I've heard that shifter install is a great time to change tranny fluid too, which is reccomended every 30k miles, and mines coming up on 28k. So looks like I'll be needing some Royal Purp as well.

why would you not use the shift stops?

Just set it up so that you cannot move the shifter more than it would naturally. The only thing the do is prevent you from breaking a shift fork off.
