Its worth thinking about though..

Stock Used Civic : 5,000
B Series Racing Motor : 5,000
T3 Style Turbo w/Tuning and FMIC : 6,000
Upgraded Axles, Tien CoilOvers and Slicks : 3,000

Thats about 19,000, right at what a stock mustang would cost.

But driving a used civic is like screwing a fat chick: It's fun until someone sees you doing it.

Just food for thought.. or you could spend 20 Grand on this :

Wow, it even has "LOMBO" doors.

Its not all about speed man. At the end of the race when we all pull into the lot to BS about the races and how I got beat by a beater Civic.............hes still in a economy car hatch-back style rainbow machine. That says ALOT. Especially when you ask un-baised people about the choice who don't give a F about speed or power like FEMALES. There may be one or two wierdo Gothic type chicks out there or insecure/immature "little girls" out there who would rather ride with the skinny skater kid in the Civic around town but I'll bet cash on the barrel head one look at my sig pic would change even their minds. >8) If you bought a Mustang GT for speed and power and to beat everyone, well, you got Bam-Boozled. Better luck next time.

EDIT: BUT I do know what your saying though. I remember racing off a stop light against a chick in a '98 GT when I first got my car. I beat her by 2 or so car lenghts but little did I know the whole time in the 3rd lane there was a primer black rattle trap CRX thing blowing my doors off.

Weight>Power-I ran a eg hatch (92-95) had a stock kseries motor-not sure which one-beat me by about 6 cars.I had an easy 1400lbs on him though-but you gotta give it to some of those cars-if they know what they're doing, they're freakin quick bastards

No offense but you can a bswap and a turbo setup for much much cheaper prices than what you listed.

It's possible, but unlikely. I've seen 1000hp (800whp) mustangs used as DDs. Big money to do it, but it can be done.
