Default Anti-freeze?

ill be honest i'm kinda ashamed to ask this question....ive got an 03 gt....ive never ever seen yellow colored antifreeze in my life..i work at a gm dealership...ive seen green and red...green is ethelynglycol based..and red is a dexcool...so what is the ford antifreeze? the only yellow ive seen in parts houses is the new prestone universal type...and i dont want to just mix anything in with factory antifreeze. Cause i know if you mix green and red it turns into a brown goo...so i dont want that. is it safe to mix the green with yellow? or what is the chemical name of the ford brand yellow antifreeze?

If your car is an 03 you should probably drain, flush, and refill with whatever your owners manual recommends.

the only thing you can mix with it is the prestone stuff. When i worked at advance auto, i had to go to a seminar when they introduced this stuff. Its chemical make adapts identically to what you already have in your car. WHen you pour it in you will notice that the color and the thickness does not change at all. Thats what i use.

Also if you don't want to do that, you can do like he said and drain and flush. Don't worry about the oem type so much though, as long as it is flushed good you can use any type/color you want
