Default What are the symptoms of a bad tranny?

Can someone list for me the tell tell signs of a bad tranny?

Slipping,grinding etc. A good way to tell if your clutch is shot is this> Put it in 4th at about 25mph, accelerate, if your rpm's climb but your mph do not you need a new clutch. The 2k mustangs have a pretty solid tranny, what is yours doing?

it's a manual tran. it's hard to put in gear sometimes. it usual starts in heavy traffic and things have warmed up down there. if i let it roll a little then it slips into gear. one person said it could be drivetrain and another said tranny.
