I am doing a front bumper install right now because my old one was pretty beat up. My question is how do you remove that plastic thing that attaches the bumper to the fender, located near the wheel well??? I thought it was hex but that doesnt seem to work. Please help thanks.

Dude i thought it was a phillips? If its just a flat looking black plug like on everywhere else on the car then you can just pop it out by using a flat screwdriver. Itll pop right back in when you need it to.

Are you talking about the brackets that are mounted on the bumper? It has studs on it and nuts screw onto it to go through the fender? Or are you talking about the inner fender well? That is just phillips screws on each fender end, and the rest of 2 maybe 3 black push pins. Also when you remove the full bumper cover, you have to drill out the rivets on the bumper bracket and remount it to the new bumper, unless it came with the bracket on it.

Yeah I am talking about the bracket. Here is a pic it is located on the other side of where the arrow is.

There are three studs that hold it on, you say they are just push pins?? How do I go about pushing them out?

yeah, that bracket on the other side is on with pop rivots, I said that too dang it, listen up, lol. I just drill mine out with a small bit. Whatever is easier for you. There is no pushing them in to release. They are pop rivets. They have to be drilled out.
