Default Tuner question

Any reason why a SCT tuner would not power up in my car, but power up in my buddie's car? I currently have my car tuned with that exact same tuner, but now it won't power up. I thought it was the tuner, but it powers up in his car. However, a regular generic ODBII code reader will power up and work fine.

man I wouldnt know off hand. get down there and look and see if there are any hanging out of the back of the plug, or you might be able to see from the font of it. Its kinds strange becasue if a code reader powers up, Why the hell wouldnt the SCT...... worth a shot I guess.

Ya, I know. At first I just figured the tuner broke, but then I asked the guy across the street if I could see if it worked in his car and it worked. Maybe a pin did fall out and it's one that the tuner uses but not the code reader. I'll just count the numer of wires going to it and see if it matches the number of pins in the plug. Thanks for the suggestion.
