If the novi1000 doesnt come with injectors and only has an 87mm maf the vortech might be the better deal. Because you will probably need to get a 90mm maf and you definately have to get injectors. What are your final power goals? the novi1000 is good for 650HP the paxton says, if you want more then that...look toward the novi2000 or vortech t-trim.
650rwhp would be plenty for me. Does anyone know where you could get a diablo mass air meter?
And you wont be anywhere near 650 with that stock block you have.
No I'm well aware of that. I'm talking about down the road plans. I ask about the diablo because the car is already dyno tuned with diablo software. I'm a little weary of the lightning maf I've heard bad things about them.

Okay, just mentioning since you said in a previous post "I don't have a forged short block" so I assumed that you were just talking about your current set up. So I assume for your new build you're getting a new block to build off of right? Are you trying to get something you can use now and then later when you upgrade as well? I'd just wait and get the best later rather than wishing you had more later just to have it right now too. That is if I'm understanding what you're trying to do.

Well currently I have a bolt-on 4.6 but I'm swapping a stock 5.4 out of a 99 f-150 with my bolt-ons with a centri. s/c. I know the power limitations are the same but the torque will be improve greatly. So that is the reason for the swap. Plus it's unique IMO. I will hopefully end up with a forged short block in the future but who knows.

so on the novi 1000 running 6-8 PSI will bigger injectors be necssary? i know a fuel pump is, but with 6 psi id figure the stock injectors would handle it, so are injectors required?

I'm sorry I guess I didn't mean problems just that people were maxing them out like you said. I'm not sure how much power I will be making because I've never even seen my exact build so I don't want to buy a lightning maf and realize it isn't enough.
