Default HP differance

I have a 02 GT and I wanted to know I there was any HP differance between it and the new 04 gt's. I am onlt asking because when I test drove the new ones it seemed to have some more power. Anyways just wondering.

There should be no difference between your car and one on a lot. The 99s thru 04s were virtually identical, except for a beefer transmission in later modles, and a small change in T/B size (which made virtually no difference in #s)

However not every car out there performs the same. Some cars are "factory freaks" and others are slow out of the box. Perhaps you tested a freak.

I have seen RWHP dyno numbers on stock 99+ anywhere from 220 to 240 RWHP.

The 04 was brand new also and im sure a brand spanking new car will perform better than one with more miles.
