Sorry you do not have the lock up converter. However should you ever need a tranny/converter work/replacement BC-Automotive.com is the place to look into. I get my info from www.tccoa.com aka
Thunderbird & cougar Club of America.
Since most t-birds are auto's these guys need to have strong trannies and converters. I do not know what model EDGE that is but if yours is working fine for you I am glad.
I am getting a 10" with stall of 3800 rpm's from Alan aka dirtydOg at TCCOA. He supplies converters to Darrin aka BC-Automotive. Darrin makes some of the finest/toughest trannies for Fords with 4R70W's and possibly the AOD. Alan supplies the converters to BC. Check out the site and register. Go to the drivetrain forum and check out a thread about "the inside of a Marauder converter". You will learn a lot about converters and what is good and bad. Many pics make Alan's descriptions simple to understand. In the Jan. issue of MM&FF these guys helped change a 600WHP Stang change from a stick to an automatic because the owner was not enjoying the stick on the street with this low 11 sec. car! I believe since the article the car has gone into the 10's.
The key to Alan's converters is that the 10" and 9.5" have the capability to withstand being locked right after the 1-2 shift at WOT! That drops the et even more plus the stall! The 10" is also 21lbs. lighter than the stock 11.25" from what I have gathered. Stock is 56lbs. according to the mag article and Alan said his 10" weighed 35lbs.
Start with registering at www.tccoa.com and check out the drivetrain forum and that thread on the Marauder converter.
Thanks guys, Mark

I too am trying to find the right converter for my 04 GT and it seems the TCCOA is the place to find the right one.
