Default IAC or Alternator?

I am not driving my car now because of winter and collision has been removed, but I was having trouble right before I put it away. It was randomly stalling when slowing down and putting the clutch in or in neutral. It only did it every once in a while but when it did it would throw a code. I was informed by brute03gt that this same thing happened to him with the same code and it was his alternator regulator.

Could the IAC be causing this also? I cleaned it and nothing happened. How would I test my regulator on my alternator if the IAC isn't the problem. I am going to fix it this winter before spring so that my car is good for the spring.

goto like an autozone, checkers, schucks or another store like those they will test the alternator for you. there are too many things it could be.

Mine does the same thing. I havent had mine stall out yet, but the rpm's will drop to 500 or lesswhen slowing down and pushing the clutch in. It seems to be worse when the car is cold. Id also like some ideas on what to look for. Its not the alternator, i've had mine checked 3 times already.

500... thats normal when you slow down because the brake booster in turning on and its drawing power from your engine...
