i was looking at some of steeda's under drive pullies and was talking it over with my buddy. he says ALL underdrive pullies squeek like hell. his car squeeked real bad and and when i said, "well are you sure it's not the belts?" he told me it was underdrive pullies, i never saw them and this is the same kid who owned the 88gt (if you've read my poll in 4.6) so i don't know whether or not to buy them or not. whats up?[>:]

 

No they don't squeek - mine never did. Your buddy must've not installed his crank pulley properly.

 

There was definetly something wrong with his ride. I have put close to 20,000 miles on my pullies and never have had a single slightest problem out of them. Get them and be merry! Make sure you install all three so you wont have problems down the road.

 

One he probably didn't change the tensioner and two he probably used an old belt or one to long. Both those situations will lead to a loose belt and squeking.

Just change your tensioner and make sure you have the right belt and you won't have any problems.
