Reason for stage 2 heads is because #1 im n/a and #2 a guy was selling them brand new for 700 and i was like[:-]and bought them asap. The comp 278 are wicked at idle, below 1000rpm and its bla(dies), but my block is in the machine block now so all im cruising in now is the stock gt with full bolt ons[&o]

Got it. $700 is a steal. Damn, why can't I find deals like that? Down the road I want stage 2s and comp 270s. I'm keeping the stock internals for now, so stage 3 is too much. If I could spin the motor up to 7K, then stage 3s would be good.

I look forward to seeing the results of your build. Good luck.

That is the common assumption, but its not excatly true. I have stage 3 heads, and Comp 270's and I made max power right at 5950rpm.My max torque was at 4500rpm. You can spin that all day. Keep in mind, that I still made over 300rwhp at 6600, but still you could see the difference in power.
