Default x pipe Question

Has anyone ever gotten a catted x pipe then decide they did not like it and just take the cats out instead of buying the o/r x pipe. I have a bassani stainless catted x pipe but the cats are just clamped in i was thinking of just taking them out and puting a piece of pipe in its place will this work how do you think it will sound, its just easier and cheaper this way. Any info is apreciated

Why do you want to take the cats out? Not loud enough? Do you think they're restrictive?

It shouldnt be too hard to just exchange the cats for a section of pipe. If you do make sure you leave the pipes on the car and bolted up when youtake the cats off. That way you will know how long of a piece to cut and weld in. if you dont, you could end up putting the wrong size piece in there and nothing will bolt up.
