Default BBK MIL Eliminators don't fit?

Am I missing something? I got a set of BBK MIL eliminators for my car and they don't seem to fit. They claim to be for 96-04 Mustangs, however I couldn't get them to work on my 97. Anyone have any clue on this? Am I just stupid and missing something here? It looks like the male side of hte plug matches up with the male side, and the female with the female, meaning they seem like they are backwards.

Really? That seems odd since they are made just for that application. Is it dependant on the year or something?

It's just weird to me that if they designed this to be used for this one reason, that it wouldn't fit. Alright, well I'll have to go hook them up then. Thanks.

Ahh well, they're in now and the computer is reset. I hadn't even gotten the CEL yet anyway, but this way it'll hopefully be taken care of, at least until I can get a real tune and turn them off. Thanks for the advice guys. I had considered that as an option but didn't want to try it unless it was known to be ok.
