Default question on a whining noise-

When i first start my gt, one of the belts makes a slightly whine noise, than goes away after a couple minutes. this just started happening like 2 days ago.. why? the cold weather??

you have more than one belt? anyways, might need to be replaced? there is something my brother used to spray on his belt to make it stop.

anyways, check to see if it's as tight as it should be.

Use a high grit sand paper over the contact side of the belt. if it persists try a belt squeak spray. And then try changing your belt. Or maybe your tentioner is going bad...

the tentioner is the silver peice that sits more towards the bottom right? i

think that might be where the slight whistle comes from. its not persistent and its only when i first rev.. and like i said it goes away usually after 10 minutes. i thought i might need a new belt, its been the same for 45k miles. ill look into what you all said.. thanks.
