Yes, all it means is you need a tune.

If you are seriously look at cams forget comp. www.vtengines.com FTW.

I have heard of people having problems with comp, and VT specialises more in the 2v and modular engines.

What all is done to your car? And what are the specs on the XE270s. How much work is done to the car will help determine what kind of cam you need.

you will need a dyno tune and a chip. run you upwards of $500 for a SCT chip and dyno tune depending on the shop and how much tuning you do. Wouldn't reccomend the 270's unless you have alot of bolt ons, and some head work, also you will need a valve spring upgrade.

What about the 274's or the 278's? Are those more race oriented?

Im thinking about stepping up. I'm making max power at 6k. Not what I wanted. What did your car make max power at when it was N/A, and what was your head/cam setup?
