anyone know how much boost a factory pi intake can hold up to

Dont quote me on this but I think 9psi becauseabove 9psi you need to change internals to handle the added power. Ever thought about upgrading your intake?

+1 on 14 but with a good safe... I've seen more but I don't know how safe it really is...

He's talking about the intake manifold, not the bottom end. There is no safe rating for the intake manifold, they crack because of the coolant temperature difference. I think 14psi is fine.
