Cobra-r Front bumper questions?
Does the ford dealership sell factory front bumper support braces so the bumper has more lower support? Does anyone know? Or would I have to make brackets to support the lower secion of my Cobra-R front bumper? Any advice?
Thanks,
Chris

RE: Cobra-r Front bumper questions?
Your best bet would be to get a 99,01 cobra bumper which has plastic connectors that attach it to the radiator support, just like the stock gt bumper does... If you have ever looked under it on the front. Then you buy the cobra R spoiler. This way you can take the front spoiler on and off when you like... Do it right, if you going to get a cobra R bumper... This book talks about building a support for there targa race car. They used it on the steeda front spoiler. They took a sheet of honey comb aluminum I think its called and used that to support it... I am not sure how much down force that spoiler supplies but my bumper is saging quiet a bit more than it was when I first got it done.

I've got the Cobra R 2000 bumper cover and as far as I know you'd need to fab your own brackets to mount. Yeah it sucks it only mount to the fenders and the top of the grille. I've had it move around enough and pop out the tabs that hold the top portion in place. I may fab some up myself to hold the bottom more.
