Default Ceramic Coating?????? Worth it?

Why do headers have to be coated?

Nothing else underneathe the car is coated. The stock manifolds arent coated, and they last a long time.

What consequences am I looking at for just getting some BBK chrome L/T's??????? Would they last 10 years? only 5 years?

What about HTS coating? As good???? almost?

YES, or else they rust. Coated is well worth the money. Lower engine bay temp. plus they will last much longer are the benefits.

ceramic is worth the money. if you dont go that route go painted instead of chrome. chrome will start to flake in no time because of the temperature a header reaches. my pops has had ceramics on his elco for 10 years and they still look new.

first off, I am not disagreeing with you. I understand that cooler is better.

why arent the cast iron manifolds, undercar piping, etc... coated from the factory?

If they last longer, thats cool. How long is long? I would just like to know.

Who knows?
Why the hell do they use restrictive manifolds in a performance car yet my 96 2.3 Ranger has a shorty header???
