So should I be congratulating you on the hot car, or the payments? [8D]

I hate car payments, always ended up getting rid of any car that I was making payments on within a year. I'm glad to be old enough and $$$ stable enough to pay cash and just enjoy the toy. And old enough not to have to argue with the parents, been there.

Hope the new ride gets you laid (more).

All that matters is that you're happy. I think you got a pretty good deal... 11k is a good price. Almost 19 here and I got my 01 w/ 36000 miles last summer after high school for $13,500 from a dealer (13, 800 was the blue book value and they were originally asking 15,200). Luckily I had the cash up front to pay for the car outright.... no payments. I would try and pay more than just the 260 per month to avoid paying extra in interest (if possible). Congrats on the upgrade.

its hard to find a vert that is not a piece of trash for less than 10-12k... regaurdless of mileage etc... verts command a MUCH higher price, basically your vert will be worth at least 10k forever.... as long as its a GT or better

Congrats on the purchase! The price of the car is ok, it's just the interest of the car loan that's making it look $$$. Banks are bastards.
What are you going to do with your old car?

Enjoy the ride. If you can afford the $260, then it is not an issue. If you can, make a few extra payments each year during the first two years. It will really offset what you give the bank. Damn all of those that can't just be happy for some-else that is happy!

Best Regards!
