Default Smellin' rich

Just bought a '98 GT and have noticed that it smells like it is burning rich. I have no exhaust smoke at startup but once it gets running there is white smoke. I first thought it was because it was cold outside (45° F) but I thought it would stop smoking after the engine warmed up. Any ideas??

white smoke... sounds like you bought a lemon... my guess the intake manifold is busted and your burning coolant.

Pull the plugs and see how they are burning.

Plugs look OK. Just smells like on old Mustang that is burning too rich. I just realized that there are nocatalytic converters on the car (that's what I get for an Ebay purchase). Sounds good though.

The reason it smells like an old mustang is because old mustangs didn't have cats either So you're fine.
