Default New tires

I have to put new tire's on my 03 Gt for the first time. It came with Bf Goodrich tires, 245 45 17 W speed rating. My question is what tire's to get. I rarely go to track so I just want some cheap tires. I was wondering if the Falken, Fusion, kumo tire's were ok tires. My other question was speed rating. Would it be ok to go with a H speed rating with a mustang. I do drive fast sometimes on a curvy road and don't want to end up in a ditch. Any opinions would be welcome, Thanks.

I believe H rated tires are good for 130mph, so as long as you don't go faster than that you should be fine. Alot of people are loving the General Exclaim UHP tire. Might want to check them out. That's the tire I'll get when my Gatorcraps are bald.

I have Dayton Daytonas that I picked up really cheap. I could have also gotten a set of Continental Extreme Contacts for $400 out the door with warranty.

You'll be fine with H your not going to be going 130 or over for very long chances are. I would stick with brands like toyo proxy t1-r which is what I run up front, they are a great wet and dry tire. You can also look into nitto, dunlop and bfg again. You can find pretty decent prices on those tires in most sizes. Let me know if you need any help.
