TOB chatter? Yes, had it.. then it turned into a LOUD screech, haha.. Ford replaced my clutch with free labor as long as i paid for the spec 3 i put in.... they were actually really cool about it..
Drivetrain clunk? Yes, had it... differential case was leaking.. took it to ford, and they fixed it. They squaked something about shims and pinions and what not, but it's done, and it was done for free.... they had to drop the differential though to do it...
FYI - i had a few mods on my car for both.. pulley, catback, and short throw.

It won't kill your tranny.. my T56 is still runnin good... a broken TOB (mine was in 3 pieces or something) will just make you buy a new clutch - but if it's under warranty they may give you free labor... like they did me.

But when you get up over three hundred hp you can seize the tob and thus kill your tremec.

Haven't had it that long, but I don't have any noises coming from my TOB. I do sometimes hear a"clunk", but I think it's from me letting out the clutch too fast. I'm still getting used to the feel of the car.
