I thought 96-98 was Cast Iron, then 99,01 was aluminum, and then Terminators had a Cast Iron block? Im pretty sure the 99's were the first year of Aluminum blocks, to go along with getting the C heads that bumped hp by 15.

The 96-98 cobras had the teksid aluminum which is the strongest aluminum block made by ford. In 99 and 01 they are still aluminum but no longer teksid because of costs. 03-04 cobra have iron.

Hrm, so the only difference between 96-98 Cobras and 99,01 engine wise is theC heads that bumped up HP by 15? Of course 96-98 was solid axle and 99,01 was IRS.
