Your rims are 17" X 9"s...same as mine but yours are Chrome. Im running 275/40s in front and 285/40s in back. Check out my album, ive got some pics. Yes you will wind up losong money bc you wont be able to prolong the life of your tread by rotating them, but it looks mean as hell, and you'll get better traction having a wider tire!

Look closely man these are NOT the same rims are yours! You have the '03-'04 Cobra rims, mine are not these. The ones I have were from the '01 Cobras. And it's polished NOT chrome. Here is a closer up pic I took a few weeks ago.

If you have 8 inch rims... I say the biggest you need to go is 275's. If you do that, go 275's all the way around so you can rotate your tires. If you have 9 inch rims, you can still go 275's all the way around... but you can go 295's in the rear if you want and still be fine. Also, you can still fit the 315 Nitto's on the rear since their tires arent as wide as some other brands. Takes away the rotating... but looks badass having really wide tires in the back.

Yeah I've had NO luck finding the exact specs on my wheels to see if they are 8" or 9"... hell I might as well have the tire removed and measure it. lol. But yeah I'm most probably going with 275 year, 245 front.

ok yeah my mistake...i can see the difference in the larger pic. You may be able to reach a tape measure through one of the windows of your rim and see if you can measure it that way, without having to take the wheel/tire off. If they are 8"s i would go no larger than 275s. They say that the only brand 315 that you can run on a 9" rim (for the mustangs anyway) Is the Nitto. I wouldnt push that on an 8" rim. 275s are still plenty wide and a pretty decent uprage from the factory tire size.

Perfect! That's the specs I was looking for, thanks alot man. And yeah too bad they are 8" , oh well I might run 255 on all 4's just to be safe until I upgrade to 10.5" DD wheels., but the 275 rear, 245 front would look real good I think. Hmmm, decisions decisions.

wow.....your rims are 17x8....FOR SURE....and you can go 275/40 NO PROBLEM on them....its ok you don't know...but some people are just giving you BAD info....go 275 all around so you can rotate...having 245s in front and 275s in back will not make ANY difference in the width of the rim in back...they will still tuck in further than the fronts...only the offset of the rim is going to have an affect on how much they tuck....hell i'm getting new 17x9 rims soon and using my current 245s on them until they wear out and then i will get 275s....

bottom line...you have 17x8 and will have absolutely NO problem going 275 all around!
