which clutch is best?

RE: which clutch is best?
is that the Ford racing or the OEM flywheel?

I have a 97 cobra and just put a king cobra clutch and new ford flywheel on it, and it feels way better than stock and grabs like hell. The engaging/disengaging is also way smoother than stock. I'd reccomend it. Not rediculously expensive but still a great part. As for the aluminum flywheels, I dont think they make a noticible difference unless you have alot of power.

RE: which clutch is best?
my tuner told me to stay away from spec cuz they have a higher risk of snapping the clutch cable or something like that. dont know if its true. im pretty sure hes also like a registered centerforce retailer or something like that tho...soooo...maybe not totally accurate.

Just oem. I would have used the same one, but I had to change it on a sunday, and i figured that nobody would be open to resurface on a Sunday, so i just bit it and bought a new one. I would have rather saved the dough, but you know how it goes. I highly recomend the king cobra. I had the stock clutch still in (70k or so), and it was a piece of crap compared to this new one. The engaging and disengaging is really smooth and it grips hard.

RE: which clutch is best?
You have 2 diff. style clutches here. If you have 500hp then the Dual Friction is 1,000times better than the other two! If you have only 300hp then the Dual friction Clutch wil get burnt up in no time depending how you drive it also. Dual friction is meant to take 5,000rpm dumps all day long. It can't handle everyday driving. Get your clutches straight before you start a stupid poll It's like asking what's better AWD or RWD? Depends on the situation!

RE: which clutch is best?
was told specs are puck style clutchs andlike to chatter.
the stage 3, i was looking at, has no marcel spring and either on or off (ie no slipping). not good for city traffic which is what i have everyday.
the 1 and 2 level specs seem to get good reviews
like everything, just gotta weight the +/-

do you have any facts to back this up?

Stick with the stock flywheel, the aftermarket ones throws your engine off balance.
