PROGRAMMERS? I just woundered if anyone can help me decide which programmer to get. I was looking at the DiabloSport Predator Mustang Tuner and the Mustang SCT XCalibrator 2 Tuner.

 

Both work very good, you can't go wrong with either. You'll find votes for both on this forum. If you're going to do some work that requires a shop/dyno tune, find the shop first and get what they like to use. I got the Diablo because my shop uses those. If I were just doing simple mods with a straight tune from the programmer, I'd get the SCT.

I am partial to SCT Xcal2, but find the tuner you like the most and find out which he prefers... You dont want your tuner tuning your car with a programmer he's not well versed in.

 

most shops do tune with SCT xcal 2, also most people here like it more. or thats how it seems

 

I love my xcal and would recommend that because I have had good experiences and that is what my tuning shopuses.

 

+1. Go with whatever your shop uses or is most comfortable with. I'm not sure if it's the same with the GT as the with the Cobra Programmers, but the SCT tuner can hold three tunes, while the Diablo Sport can only hold one. So if you ever plan on adding a blower, big shot of nitrous, or any other street/performance application, that is something else to consider.
